The guild was formed soon after Shae Vizla came online; and launched on 01 January 2024. It is intended as a slow-growth RP guild featuring immersive story lines for core players (Heavy RP); and also a suitable home for any miscellaneous RPers who would like a place to house their character and/or who prefer more casual RP.

Flagships should be purchased by the end of January 2024 if not sooner.

Setting and Lore

The Empire and Republic are at war. The Mandalorians are locked in civil war. The Eternal Empire is shattered. The Alliance is now but one more faction within the galaxy. And other forces and factions lurk and linger as they always have while new factions begin to form.

Resources (such as food, fuel and warships) are scarce.

Yet there are a very few within the Dark Council and Galactic Senate who remember the past — how threats have, at times, emerged that threatened both Empire and Republic equally. These few have championed a mutual endeavour intended to remain vigilant for such threats and to, at times, work together on matters of potential significance but unrelated to the war; especially in worlds and sectors not within the mainstream of the Galaxy.

Welcome to Aegis.

This endeavor has been commissioned despite significant political opposition. Within the Republic it is known as Aegis; and within the Empire it is Grey Aegis. Many consider that this endeavor is bound to fail; and only time will tell if this is the case.

Aegis and Grey Aegis are not yet fully resourced. The Charter is now signed off and the operational leadership is looking for others who are suitable for the scope of the tasks that Aegis will undertake...

Types of characters that could find a home here.

Both force users and others are being sought. Applicants who are overly zealous or invested in the war, or who are perhaps think they can bring down Aegis or Grey Aegis, need not apply. Those who simply cannot countenance working with 'the enemy' need not apply.

Some typical types of characters might include:
• Soldiers
• Agents
• Mercenaries
• Certain types of Jedi
• Certain types of Sith
• Smugglers
• Specialists of all types.
• and many more...

Characters do not need to be extremely experienced; but they should have the potential to become such and to thrive in challenging environments. So, for example, both new recruits and grizzled veterans can apply; as can Masters of the Force.
